Coam Group was founded by Morris Cohen and Eric Amsel with the goal of providing quality housing to the residents of Indianapolis. By focusing our efforts on finding quality locations in need of repositioning and leveraging our relationships to mobilize once a site is secured, we’re able to streamline the development project to ensure strong returns for our investors.

 

About the Founders

 

Morris Cohen is the founder and managing partner at Cohen Property Group. In his 13+ years of experience in the real estate finance space, Morris has assisted his clients in obtaining over $700M in residential and commercial debt. As part of Cohen Property Group, Morris has been actively investing in the city of Indianapolis since 2016. His projects have included developing a small single family rental portfolio, fix and flips in both the residential and commercial space, and ground up construction. Morris graduated from New York University in 2009 with a BA in Economics and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife and three children.

 

 

 

Eric Amsel is a seasoned real estate professional with over 12 years of expertise, specializing in luxury home construction across the tri-state area. Renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, Eric has a portfolio of meticulously crafted residences showcasing his design prowess.
He excels in optimizing rental units for compliance with complex NYC (MCI & IAI) regulations, ensuring properties turn-around meet legal requirements while maximizing rental potential for investors. Eric’s hands-on approach and extensive knowledge of NYC’s real estate landscape make him a trusted advisor for navigating market complexities.
Eric is skilled in ground-up development, adept at overseeing projects from conception to completion, and identifying value engineering opportunities to optimize costs. However, what truly sets Eric apart is his data-driven approach to real estate investing.
Leveraging his finance background, Eric employs sophisticated analytical tools to identify lucrative investment opportunities. His keen understanding of investment principles allows him to conduct thorough due diligence, meticulously analyzing market trends, rental yields, and appreciation potential. By combining quantitative analysis with qualitative insights, Eric identifies properties with the greatest potential for long-term growth and profitability.
